This is stage 1 of my 3 stage polishing for client cars. I just finished wet sanding with 1500 grit then 2500 before putting the compound on for the first machine polishing step. I am using 3M foam buffing pads and a hand glaze at the end. Keep the buffing wheel moving at all times, if you stay in one place kiss the paint job goodbye! I am at 1500 rpm using medium cut compound.
